About Us

My name is Sanel Huskanovic, I am an urban explorer and I founded "M a Trip to New York" in 2015.

I was born and grew up in Bosnia, which I left during the 90s when war broke out there. I initially lived as a war refugee in Germany and later studied near Trier.

I came to New York in 2006 and specialized in marketing in tourism . I have worked for various tour operators and hotel chains, including TUI and Starwood Hotels .

In 2015 I decided to start my own company and bring the secrets of New York closer to German-speaking guests. Secret corners, beautiful and exciting places to dine, rooftop bars with the most beautiful views, everything that only people who live in New York know and experience, that's exactly the job of an urban explorer.

I discover the city and show it to millions of German-speaking guests every day. I am one of the few German-speaking guides who survived the difficult exam (over 20 books have to be prepared) to obtain a tourist license in New York, which is why I founded "My Trip to New York", the only German agency in New York.
