New York Sightseeing Flex Pass, Vor- und Nachteile und wie es funktioniert

New York Sightseeing Flex Pass, Pros, Cons and How It Works

A pass for visiting over 100
Attractions.

You decide in advance how many sights you want to visit and buy the appropriate number. After redeeming yourself at the first attraction, you have 30 days to visit all the sights you booked.

time independent

Since you are not tied to the day or time with the pass and do not have to decide on the sights beforehand, you can decide flexibly when you want to do something or visit something.

Easy to use

You will be given a card with a barcode, which you must present at the respective sights.

More for your money

The savings will be larger or smaller depending on what you want to visit, for example it is cheaper to take part in the hop on hop off trips with the pass than to purchase it separately.

How it works

Except for the walking tours, you don't need to make any reservations. For all tickets and the hop on hop off service, simply show up at the sights and show your Sightseeing Flex Pass.

Attention: With no pass, including the Flex Pass, you can get into the fast lane and cannot skip the line. You don't have to go into the ticket queue but into the voucher row where they will issue you a ticket upon presentation of your pass. Since many people have a pass, they are just as big as the ticket queues during the high season. ( see video )

Tip: In my experience, it is more expensive to purchase an additional attraction with the walking tour pass. Walking tours are almost always cheaper if you purchase them separately.

How the hop on hop off bus works with the pass

The hop on hop off bus service is daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the buses stop at the designated stops approximately every 20 minutes. From the time of activation, your Hop on Hop off ticket is valid for 72 hours. You can find all stops and routes here .

Included in the pass:

  • Downtown Loop
  • Uptown Loop
  • Brooklyn Loop

Attention: The Night Tour Loop is not included in the pass and you must purchase it separately.

I tested the Hop on Hop off service in conjunction with the pass, and I have put together how exactly it works for you in this video. CLICK
