The observatory is called "Edge" because it is on the edge of New York. It is located in the Hudson Yards development area of Manhattan.
100 floors and 345 meters above ground, the new observation deck will be the highest in the Western Hemisphere. Part of the floor will be made of glass that you can climb onto and have a view of 10th Avenue.
The observation deck is actually hanging on the building rather than on top, which means when you look over it all you see is glass and sky and the city around you and that's unique to New York. Edge tickets click here
