The good news is that a new headquarters at Rockefeller Center will open in November, just in time for Christmas. FAO Schwarz had to close its historic location in Manhattan on 59th Street due to the exorbitant operating costs, to the tears of many.
The new store will be a huge place: 1,900 square meters, a real "toy land". As Business Insider reports, it will be a place to experience joy, an amusement park where everyone, young and old, is invited to experience a moment of lightness. The slogan is fantastic: “Return to Wonder”.
