5 NYC Restaurants Rank Among 25 Best in the World

Five New York City restaurants have landed in the top quartile of a new list of the best 100 restaurants around the world. Elite Traveler conducted a study of 6,000 readers, all of whom use or own private jets, to create its seventh annual list of the world's 100 best restaurants. And while this ranking comes from some of the richest people and they can afford it, you too can check out some of the restaurants at affordable prices and I'll tell you how. Here are 5 of the world's top 25 restaurants according to the magazine.

The best hotel deals in New York

1. Jean Georges

Eating like God in France, but not in France but in New York and not like God but as an average mortal earner, is actually possible. This three-Michelin Star restaurant landed on the list at 23rd. Dinner here costs an average of $250 per person but there is a Prefix Menu at lunchtime, a three-course menu for a fixed price of a "ridiculous" $38, daily during the period 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Curious about what's available CLICK .

2. Daniel

Daniel ended up in 13th place. You may have woken up at 2 a.m. because jet lag is still bothering you, but the thought of certain food, certain restaurants can wipe away any tiredness. A place that makes you forget everything is this restaurant. And Monday to Thursday until 6 p.m. there is a three-course "Prix-Fixe" here for $129, far from cheap but only if you don't know the real prices.

3. Le Bernadin

The 8th best restaurant in the world according to the list. ERIC RIPERT has been head chef at Le Bernardin for 18 years, and people sometimes ask him if he's had enough of cooking fish. Clearly these people have never eaten at Le Bernardin. No other restaurant in town makes the simple act of preparing fish (and the fish at Le Bernardin is simply boiled, if it's cooked at all) seem so exciting. For $57 there is a 3-course prix fixe for lunch, what exactly you can read here CLICK .

4. Per Se

The 4th in the world, Per Se. I took a special person there for his birthday and she wrote me this message: "3 days later and I'm still thinking about the food and the wonderful view of Central Park. It was everything you would expect from a 3 star restaurant . It was a great birthday and I still can't believe my name was on the menu." I'll save any further comment except to say that the cheapest Prix Fixe, a 5-course meal in the salon, is $195.

5. Eleven Madison Park

Number 3 in the world according to the list, number 1 in NYC. Just a few steps from my apartment and there's no question that I support the local operators in my neighborhood even if it costs a small fortune and Sex and The City fans will also remember the Carrie and Mr. Big scene. You can find out what is there and how much it costs in the video below.
