THE CHRISTMAS LIGHTS OF DYKER HEIGHT
Located in the heart of Brooklyn, the famous Italian-American neighborhood of Dyker Heights is arguably the most famous neighborhood in the world for Christmas lights and decorations! The owners of the houses compete with each other for over 20 years to make the Christmas decorations better, more beautiful and more attractive.
I dedicated a tour to this special place so you can see the lights of Dyker Heights. You can buy the tickets here.
THE ANGELS OF THE ROCKEFELLER CENTER
Between 49th and 50th Streets on 5th Avenue, an enchanting path full of splendor that you cannot miss is that of the Angels of Rockefeller Center. Golden angels playing festive trumpets and showcasing New York's most famous Christmas tree.
A tip: Check out the Christmas light show on the facade of Saks Fifth Avenue department store. The best view is exactly the one on the side of the Angels at Rockefeller.
THE RADIO CITY MUSIC HALL TREE
Between 50th and 51st Streets on 6th Avenue, the famous Radio City Music Hall is one of the iconic theaters of the city of New York and is located at Rockefeller Center. The Christmas decorations are extremely suggestive. The tree formed by a thousand lights continuously changes color from green to red to gold.
THE RED BALLS ON 6TH AVENUE
Between 4th and 51st streets on 6th Avenue, near Radio City Music Hall, huge red Christmas balls are erected every year and have become almost a symbol of New York's festivities. Thanks to their unmistakable red color, these giant balls have acquired an exceptional reputation and are known all over the world. Undoubtedly, it is one of the favorite photographic subjects of many tourists who spend the Christmas holidays in New York.
THE GIANT NUTCRACKERS
Between 51st and 52nd streets on 6th Avenue, at the entrance to the UBS building, you can see the giant nutcracker figures that almost act as guards guarding the building.
THE GIANT CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTS
Between 48th and 49th Streets on 6th Avenue, across from the McGraw Hill Building on Sixth Avenue, there are large, colorful Christmas lights. I assure you: a wonderful background for wonderful photos!
ROLF'S RESTAURANT
Corner of 3rd Avenue and 22nd Street, you can hardly believe how many Christmas decorations are hanging on all sides. There is also traditional German cuisine, a little overpriced but I advise you to take a look and take your time, there is always a big queue in front of the door.
THE STARS OF THE TIME WARNER CENTER
10 Columbus Circle, the famous Time Warner Center mall's Christmas decorations are shimmering stars hanging from the ceiling. A starry sky that creates a magical atmosphere!
UNICEF SNOWFLAKE
57th Street and 5th Avenue, it is a symbol of UNICEF's commitment to the most vulnerable children. This snowflake is made up of 16,000 crystals and has been on 5th Avenue during the Christmas holidays since 1984.
THE CHRISTMAS LIGHTS OF PARK AVENUE
Park Avenue, up from 42nd Street, the most famous of all broad avenues in New York. It gives the impression that the Christmas trees were put up for a party. Don't miss the Helmsley Building, 230 Park Avenue, lit up with Christmas colors.
