Helicopter tour with doors
The helicopter flight in a closed helicopter, with doors, starts at Pier 6 on the southeastern tip of Manhattan. The easiest way to get there is with subway lines 2 and 3. There are three different options, 15, 20 and 30 minutes. ATTENTION: A new law prohibits flights on Sundays.
My tip
The 15 or 20 minute version is completely sufficient. You can look at the routes and prices in the description.
Helicopter tour without doors
One of the most incredible experiences you can experience in New York is a doorless helicopter ride. Dangling your feet over the Empire and Times Square will stay with you forever. The helicopter flights depart from a heliport in New Jersey, about 30 minutes from Manhattan and is easy to get to, see instructions in the video below.
My tip
Take a Valium first! Just kidding, it's not half as bad as you imagine. If you can afford it, take the longest flight option, you won't regret it. A special experience is a night flight, which is available with or without doors, only from the Jersey Heliport.
